Hell yea! This is a time and space to celebrate with and support Black/Multi-racial Black/Multi-ethnic Black & Queer folxs! We love solidarity and great manners! Just remember no hair touching, body boundaries are always in play, and come have a good time with us.

Can I Buy a Ticket at the Door

Accepted Answer

No. We're not trying to be difficult and yet we want to run a smooth event. Plus selling tickets in advance means folxs actually thought about and planned for the party. To ensure folxs have enough time, we will sale tickets until 11:59pm on June 15th.

Do I Need Identification to Get In

Accepted Answer

Yes, you will need a valid ID to get in. We want to keep folxs and ourselves safe. We also want to ensure you are of age.

The Party is 18 and up. Why not 21 and Up

Accepted Answer

LGTBQIA+ folxs have been celebrating in a multi-generational way for a very long time. There continues to be very few public spaces in which we can gather, meet, mobilize and form community in a safe way. Wether your 18 or 87, being in community together is rare & special.

Who Started Juneteenth Pride & Why

TMCG continued to notice the erasure of Queer Black contributions at Juneteenth events and the need to elevate the cultural inclusion and celebration of Black folxs beyond "Black Pride" events.  Therefore, the first Juneteenth Pride party was hosted in June 2019.

What Is the COVID Protocol for the Event

We strongly encourage folxs to be vaccinated and boosted! If you also feel most comfortable wearing a mask while at the party-we also celebrate that. There is an outdoor terrace, where most of the performances and dj will be set-up as well.

Can I smoke at the venue

Can I re-enter the venue

Accepted Answer

Re-entry will be limited and be determined on a "case-by-case" basis. In other words, if it's not an emergency-the likelihood of coming back in is slim.

Will there be security or safety plan

Yup, so don't act up. Unfortunately due to the continued harm directed at BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ folxs, everyone will be checked at the door before entering. Hence, why there is a no-rentry rule.

Can I Bring Outside Food and Drinks

Can I bring in a bag, pocket book, fanny pack, etc.

Only hand-sized bags will be allowed in the venue. They will also be checked before entry.

Can I Bring Weapons In

Hell No. Not that type of party buddy. So keep it cute and come celebrate. Plus all bags and persons will be checked before entry.

Where do I park

We suggest using the open street parking on Spring Street & North Union Street, as well as  the parking lot directly across from the venue beside the Danville Transit System Hub. Please adhere to all street signs as we are not liable for your vehicle or items within.

Can I get a refund if I can't come

Accepted Answer

After the bills are paid, remaining proceeds will go towards TMCG's community fund which provides techinical support and funding to grass-roots  groups. Therefore, there will be no refunds. Good news is you can fill good about your purchase, even if you can't make it. We will have you in spirit.

Should I Bring Cash for the Performances

Yes, it's a tradition to tip the performers during their performances. So come prepared with some ones in hand.

Will there be alcohol-free drinks at the venue

Accepted Answer

Yup! We want folxs to have a good time, while staying committed to their sobriety or choice not to drink. Therefore, alcohol free beer and spirits will be available for purchase. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages (soda, water, etc.)

Is the venue friendly for different modalities

Accepted Answer

We will host event activities on the main level. Bathrooms are also located on the main level. Doorways and venue space can accomodate wheelchairs, walking devices, etc. with clear passage. If additionall accomodations are needed, email us and we will do our best to assist you.

Can I Transfer My Ticket If I Can't Come

Accepted Answer

If you can't come, but would like to transfer your ticket to a frand, reach out to us asap at info@motleyconsultingroup.com with subject "transfer ticket." We will do our best to accomodate you, and will navigate transfers on a case-by-case basis.

Is the party rain or shine

Accepted Answer

We're hosting rain or shine baby. If it rains, we will have to shift some of the games and performances to accomodate folxs only to the inside of the venue. But a little rain don't scare us.
