Hello, friends! We’re pleased to invite you to the 2023 Fluid Motion Factory Rendezvous at Roche Harbor on September 7-10, 2023.
We hope you’re ready to make a splash at this year's rendezvous, because the theme is "Under the Sea". Dust off your seashell bra, grab your trident, and dive into the festivities! We'll have prizes for the best-dressed sea creatures during Saturday’s happy hour, so make sure you're dressed to impress.
But that's not all - if you've decorated your boat to match the theme, we want to see it! The judges will be walking the docks from 12pm-3pm on Saturday to choose their favorite boat. The prize for best decorated boat will be awarded at Saturday’s happy hour.
We have several fun activities and get-togethers planned over the course of the event. Kevin Carlton from Roche Harbor will once again host his famous Chip 'n Sip Challenge from the the party barge. The fishing and crabbing derbies will be taking place all weekend. The cornhole tournament will be as fierce as ever and you won't want to miss this year's scavenger hunt. The USCG Aux will be on site to provide vessel exams and we will have 2024 Ranger Tugs, Cutwaters, and Solaras on display for you to tour..
You’ll want to bring something that two people can float in and paddle so you can take part in the always popular blindfolded dinghy race. We’ll have two heats, one for Ranger Tug/Cutwater Boat branded dinghies and one for the “run what ya brung” class where almost anything that floats is allowed (as long as it’s safe).
We have created an official Factory Rendezvous smartphone app developed specifically for this event. The app is a great way to connect with others and stay informed during the Rendezvous. The app is free with your registration and will connect you to live event info, our daily video news updates, important announcements, the scavenger hunt, and more. We will send you an email notification as soon as the app is ready for you to download.
We will have customer service representatives on the dock to mingle and answer questions, but there will not be a customer service desk or parts desk at the rendezvous. Our representatives will not be working on boats during the rendezvous so any repairs will need to be scheduled before or after the event. If you need spare parts, please contact our customer service department and we can arrange to have those shipped directly to you.
MOORAGE INFORMATION
Roche Harbor Marina has offered free moorage on Wednesday, Sept 6th for boats staying Thursday through Saturday evenings!
Roche Harbor Marina has a new moorage registration system through DockWA. Once you’ve completed your registration with us here on Eventbrite, you will also need to register for your moorage with Roche Harbor. Here is the link to register:*Dockwa Fluid Motion Rendezvous Moorage Reservation Link*
Your event confirmation email will also contain the link to reserve moorage.
Presidents Club: The President’s Club is back! Ranger Tugs & Cutwater Boats President, John Livingston and Vice President, Jeff Messmer are inviting anyone who is attending to join the club by Med-mooring (stern tying to the dock) in the President’s Club. 2017 was the inaugural year for the President’s Club which wraps along the main promenade to linear side of C-dock. Boats moored on the President's dock will receive a special welcome gift and be eligible for daily drawings for free moorage!
Med-mooring (or tying) is common practice in much of the world outside of the Pacific NW. It’s not difficult and does not require the use of an anchor. Roche Harbor will have dock staff available to help you in and out of your spot, get you tied up, and will move your dinghy to the nearby dinghy dock for you when you arrive. There will be plenty of power and water for everyone. We only have 35 spots available in the President’s Club this year. You’ll have the option to reserve your spot in the President’s Club during check-out. The President's Club is ideal for folks who plan on staying moored through the event. If you intend to come and go (fishing, crabbing, etc.) you may prefer moorage on the main guest dock. The President’s Club is only available for inboard powered boats and outboard boats with the Clear-Path swim platform that reaches aft of the outboards.
Arrival: As you arrive, call Roche Harbor Marina on VHF channel 78A. Give them your boat name and model. The marina dockhands will guide you to your assigned slip and will assist you with docking, if desired. Once docked, marina dockhands will come to your boat to collect payment.
Special docking requests: As always, Roche Harbor will do its best to accommodate as many special docking requests as possible. Due to the size of our group, special requests must be fulfilled by order of arrival. Please mention your request to the harbormaster when you radio in. If you have a health or mobility issue, please let us and them know when you register here with eventbrite and in your dockwa reservation.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The registration fee is $85.00 per adult (21+). Children (under 21) are free but must be registered so we account for them when ordering food.
If the event sells out again this year, we will not be able to sell any tickets on-site. Please make sure that each person attending the event (including children) are registered through this site. Thank you for your understanding.
Additional activities and accommodations which require reservations and payment should be handled directly. These links will help get you started.
McMillin’s Dining Room Reservations: If you intend to enjoy a dinner at Roche Harbor’s wonderful McMillin’s dining room please make sure that you make a reservation ASAP.
