2023 CPHQ Review Course

Join the Oregon Association for Healthcare Quality as we host the first review course of 2023 for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification exam. We are lucky to have Susan Mellott, PhD RN CPHQ CPPS FNAHQ join us again as the instructor for this three-day online event.

As a special incentive, all current members of the collective organizations (AzAHQ, FAHQ, OAHQ, MAHQ, NEAHQ, NCAHQ, OrAHQ) are welcome to join at the member ticket rate.

The course will be held beginning on Thursday, 4/20, through Saturday, 4/22 for three 4.5 hour blocks each day:

9:00 AM - 1:30 PM Pacific Time

10:00 AM - 2:30 PM Mountain Time

11:00 AM - 3:30 PM Central Time

12:00 PM - 4:30 PM Eastern Time

This is a review session for healthcare quality professionals who are preparing for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) exam, or who want to expand their existing quality management skills.

Attendees will be able to identify areas within the CPHQ certification content outline where they are strong in their knowledge and where they are weak, and thus require further study, knowledge, and/or experience prior to taking the CPHQ certification exam.

This course is designed as an adjunct to CPHQ exam preparation. Attendance provides no guarantee of successful completion of the CPHQ exam.

For over 40 years, instructor Susan Mellott, PhD RN CPHQ CPPS FNAHQ has worked in the areas of performance improvement, patient safety, and accreditation. Dr. Mellott has worked with healthcare organizations including hospitals, outpatient services, long term care, home health, and more. Dr. Mellott is a Professor Emerita, College of Nursing, at Texas Woman's University and CEO of Mellott & Associates, LLC, a healthcare quality consulting and education firm. Dr. Mellott has been certified with a CPHQ since 1991, CPPS (patient safety) since 2015, and a FNAHQ (Fellow of NAHQ) since 1999. Dr. Mellott has numerous publications and presentations and has taught this CPHQ Prep Course for over 20 years.

CEUs: This CPHQ Review Course has been approved for 13.5 continuing education credits through the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).

Refunds/Cancellations: You may cancel registration through March 31, 2023 minus a $25 fee. Cancellations made between April 1 thru April 15, 2023 will be refunded at 50% of the registration fee. We regret that we are unable to process refunds after April 15, 2023. We reserve the right to issue refunds by check for registrations paid for by credit card.
