Please join us for the 2022 UTHealth Symposium on Aging Research. This event will be held at the Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine at UTHealth on Tuesday, October 11th from 9:00 am-4:00pm. Registration and breakfast will open at 7:30 a.m. A major goal for the symposium is to highlight the ongoing clinical and basic aging research at UTHealth and to help foster the development of emerging technologies.

Thanks to the generous support of the Phyllis Gough Huffington Endowed Lectureship, this event is free and open to the public. Breakfast and lunch will be provided as well as parking for the first 100 registrants. We will be offering continuing education credit for medicine.

The featured keynote speaker is Selva Baltan, M.D., Ph.D.

The UTHealth Consortium on Aging is the organizer of the Symposium on Aging ResearchThe Consortium on Aging is a university-wide collaborative effort that leverages the existing strengths and expertise of all the UTHealth schools, including the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Public Health, Biomedical Informatics, and Biomedical Sciences, along with members from other academic organizations and community service providers. Focusing on aging-related interdisciplinary care, education, research, and community outreach, the role of the Consortium is to foster collaboration among the schools and centers of UTHealth with the goals of:

Enhancing the geriatric knowledge and skills of health care students and providers and promoting coordinated, patient-focused care by interdisciplinary teams
Finding innovative strategies for training health care students and practicing providers in geriatrics
Facilitating aging-related research and the advancement of gerontology.
