About this event
For this 21st edition of the International Congress of Reversal Theory, we will meet from June 27-29, 2022 at the Université Paris 8, Amphi X from 09:00-17:00 Paris time each day. In connection with the research axes of the Laboratory of Psychopathology and Processes of Change (EA 2027), this year we want to focus on flexibility, emotion regulation and processes of change.
In today's fast-paced society, it is necessary to have the psychological flexibility to adapt to ever-changing contexts, whether in the workplace or in personal relationships. The level of stress to which we are subjected has increased considerably, requiring us to develop our “uncommitted potentiality for change,” our budget of flexibility (Bateson, 1972), and our emotional skills. Crises follow one another: economic crisis, war-related crises, global warming crisis, and health crisis, to name a few. To cope with any crisis or challenge, whether societal or personal, we are faced with change. How can we encourage these necessary change processes and consolidate them? How can we transform our motivations to overcome crises? How can we reverse from an attitude that promotes inertia to an attitude that promotes resilience and success?
Our host is Nathalie Duriez, Maître de Conférence-HDR à l’Université Paris 8, Laboratoire de Psychopathologie et de Neuropsychologie, Saint-Denis (93).
The conference will convene June 27-29, 2022
