Event description
We are excited to be back in person for our 2022 event!

About this event

For 2022 - our event will be Live and In Person, with all of the great opportunities to interact with your peers and mentors! We will also Live-Stream the event, but you would be missing out on half of the experience and learning.

*NOTE: All-in person attendees will be given 4 x Rapid Test Kits to self-administer.

The LaptopSchools.com annual k12workshop brings together technology directors, technicians and technical engineers from schools across the country, to share their experiences and learn about the latest from Microsoft, Lenovo and each other. Attendees not only formulate deployment and support plans for their Windows based computers, but also gain insight to strategies for mixed hardware & software environments.

We are going to dig deep into all things Windows, including 10, 11 and 11se, Microsoft 365, InTune, Azure, Autopilot, Security, Teams, Server 2022, eSports, Accessibility, and more. The main objective is to help schools more easily refresh, deploy and manage their technology based learning environments via Modern Desktop Management. However, there is a lot that will be learned from attendees sharing their knowledge and experience. All "live" attendees and presenters meet 1:1 as we kickoff three days of intense learning and sharing.

This year will be the 6th year that Richard Balsley, the man we have touted as “Microsoft’s best, k12 focused, hands-on engineer/trainer” will, once again, be the backbone of our event. Richard is the "Principal Technical Director of Microsoft 365”. We are very grateful he will be hosting this event. He will also be discussing Microsoft's engineering changes to their cloud services and the latest product offerings and road maps.

The event focuses on computers running Windows and will address imaging, provisioning, management, security and upgrades from a deployment and support perspective. One of Microsoft's top Device Management Specialists for k12 will dig deep into Modern Desktop Management and the latest, greatest, streamlined tools like InTune and Autopilot. Attendees will discuss their journey from WDS, MDT, WCD and SCCM and how they interact with or migrate to the latest products like Azure, InTune and Autopilot . Microsoft will give an overview of their security strategy and how they are using AI in Azure AD, Advanced Threat Protection and Windows Defender. Server features, interactions, roadmaps and migration will be discussed. We will also have a Microsoft365 k12 Solution Specialist to provide in-depth and back-end support strategies for Microsoft365, which includes Office, Yammer, Teams, Minecraft with Code Builder, Class Notebook and more. Bryan from the Harker School will be there to discuss Accessibility Tools and Options in Office 356.

This is a Hands-On, Help-All, Get-It-Done event with presentations and group discussions, interwoven with guided "work on your own"  time where we strive to "leave no question unanswered". This is also an extreme sharing/networking event, any attendee with a topic of interest will be added to the agenda. Popular topics will also be added and, at times, we have been known to bring in guest presenters to address questions that arise during the workshop.

The Live/In Person event will be $499 per person for non-customers, if you purchase over $20k annually from LaptopSchools your registration cost will be $199 (registration includes Lunch, Dinner, Transportation and Entertainment Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). There will also be a live stream available for $99. We are limiting the attendees, so please register soon! Note, full refunds will be available up to 10 days before the event.
