donateNYC and the Foundation for NY’S Strongest welcome you to NYC’s second annual ReFashion Week to celebrate secondhand and sustainable fashion across the city. Join us to kick-off ReFashion Week on Feb 22nd at the Brooklyn Army Terminal - Expand your sustainable fashion knowledge and inspire your wardrobe!
All Day Highlights (2pm- 6pm):
- Pop-up market featuring secondhand and sustainable fashion brands each tackling textile waste in their own way
- Demos from leading innovators at the intersection of sustainable fashion and technology such as Circular ID
- Clothing donation drop off event and interactive art installation created by zero waste designer and artist, Isabel Varela
- Live DJ booth featuring Heron Preston and others
- Food and drink from local vendors (Alcohol will be available for purchase, please bring a government issued ID if you intend to drink)

- Artists and designers from the VFILES community!
Bring us your old clothes and old plastic bags!
- As part of Isabel Varela’s Textile Waste art installation she will be collecting clothing donations during the event. Bring in your formerly loved clothing, shoes, accessories, and household textiles to visually display the amount of waste being diverted from landfill. At the end of the event the collection will be given to Housing Works, through the RefashionNYC program.
- You can also bring in your used and damaged plastic bags for donation to one of Kickoff vendors, aNYbag. They will take the plastic bags back to their NYC factory to create luxury hand woven totes. You can see the process in action at the aNYbag Factory Tour on Wednesday February 26th. Click here for more details.
