Join us for UNOH AMA's 3rd annual Regional Conference held Friday, October 25th in Lima, Ohio at the 600 Building on the UNOH campus

DESCRIPTION

The UNOH AMA recognizes the importance of supporting local business and maintaining relationships in your community. That's why we have chosen the theme of #LoveLocal for our conference this year. Over the course of the day you'll experience industry professionals as they speak on the importance of relationship marketing, have the opportunity to compete in multiple student competitions, and have key networking time with other universities and people of interest.

Our three competitions will be held throughout the day at different times, with students having the option of participating in:

• Perfect Pitch Competition [Individual, 5 Max per University]: The AMA Perfect Pitch Competition is a 60-90 second interview in which you position yourself as being “right for the job.” Like an elevator pitch competition, your goal is to provide 2-3 key selling points of why you are an ideal candidate, supporting these qualifications with examples. And of course, the end goal is to get hired (close the deal).

• Sales Competition [Individual, 2 Max per University]: Competitors will be able to test their skills on their ability to close a simulated sale. Individuals will be representing an organization proposing the sale, and will be able to review the sales scenario before they compete. There will be one round of the competition, so make sure you allow yourself enough time to close the deal (sale) in ten minutes.

• Marketing Strategy Competition [Team of 2, 2 Team max per University]: This competition will challenge your wit, speed, and presentation skills while leveling the playing field for all schools. It's all about using your knowledge and experience to formulate a plan to solve the case problem. Each team will receive a 1-page mini-case based on a brand or organization. You will then have a timed period to create a strategy to solve the problem before presenting your ideas in front of the judging panel . The oral presentation will be 5-7 minutes max (no visual aids) – it’s solely based on your ideas, knowledge, and ability to communicate those ideas. At the end of your presentation, judges will have the opportunity to follow-up with questions based on your recommendations.

Will food be provided for the day?

Absolutely! A light breakfast and coffee will be provided at 8 Am along with registration, and our lunch break will be from 12-1 Pm.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The 600 Building on the UNOH Campus has plenty of parking directly outside the event venue, should you bring your car or bus.
