Our trips are a wonderful mix of hard work and service as well as rest, relaxation and the opportunity to explore local sites and experience the culture. These experiences are designed to get you out of your comfort zone and create lifelong memories and friendships with the people you meet and travel with. Learn more about them here.

TYPICAL ITINERARY

Travel dates and details will be finalized by early April 2019. Every trip is a little bit different, but a typical itinerary looks like this:

Day 1: Arrive and get near the service project. Get acclimated to the local culture and orientation.

Days 2-4: Serve in the local community, working hand in hand with the local villagers and with our project partner to make a meaningful change, one family at a time.

Days 5-7: Rest, relax, recharge and experience a beautiful country. Reflect on what you accomplished and reward yourself with some adventure or relaxation.

Once you’ve registered and made your deposit, we will keep you well informed about your upcoming journey. You’ll receive a detailed itinerary, packing tips and be invited to join an online orientation webinar as we get closer to the trip.

TRIP COSTS:

Dominican Republic June 2019: $3,400 per person

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Accomodations: All accommodation costs are included. During the service portion we will be in very basic dormitory style accommodations with shared bathrooms and double occupancy for luxury portion of the trip.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included for each day during both the project and luxury portions of the trip. Any non-standard dietary preferences/restrictions may incur additional charges, which will be covered by you and/or your guest. Additional drinks and snacks are at each individual’s own expense. Food expenses at the airport are not included.

Acitivities and transfers: All pre-arranged group activities for the trip are included, as well as transfers to and from the activities. Any activities booked outside the pre-arranged group activities will be at the individual’s own expense.

NOT INCLUDED:

Flights: Flights are not included in the price of the trip and must be booked independently.

General Expenses: It is recommended that individuals bring local currency for any incidentals, snacks and shopping/souvenirs, which are not covered by Viv.

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included. It is recommended that individuals take out their own personal travel insurance to cover any potential issues, such as lost items, medical expenses, canceled flights, etc.

WHEN IS THE FULL BALANCE DUE?

Dominican Republic: Friday, April 5 - your deposit is required by Friday, April 5, 2019 to join us on the trip in June.

Please note that your deposit secures your spot and is non-refundable.
