Description
NDIA Washington D.C. Chapter
2019 ROTC Scholarship Awards Campaign
The Washington, D.C. Chapter is kicking off our annual ROTC Scholarship fundraising campaign for 2019, and we need your, and your company's, continued financial support. The recruitment and retention of quality individuals to serve in our Armed Forces continues to be of paramount importance, especially in light of the momentous changes our Armed Services will be facing. Our Nation is blessed with patriotic young Americans that continue to join our volunteer military, and our chapter is honored to enable the best and brightest with contributions supporting their career choice. We hope that your continued support of local ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen will play a part in demonstrating to them how much we appreciate what they are preparing to do for our Nation.
Our merit-based scholarships are designated for "high potential" ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Last year we were fortunate to receive generous personal and corporate contributions from our Board of Directors, as well as individual chapter members and non-chapter members. This year we will commit scholarships based on what we have collected. In past years our target has been $35,000. The number of individuals will be dependent on what we receive. In the past our target has been seven individuals will be awarded $3,000 and seven individuals will be awarded $2,000.
Your contributions – both personal and corporate – are fully tax-deductible by law (NDIA's tax ID is 53-0196547). You can make your check(s) payable to NDIA Washington, D.C. Chapter Scholarship Fund and mail to:
