HPCC Systems

LexisNexis Risk Solutions will host the 6th annual HPCC Systems Summit Community Day in Atlanta, GA, Tuesday October 15 - Wednesday October 16, 2019. The purpose of the Summit is to gather engineers, data scientists and technology professionals to share knowledge and future roadmap plans for the HPCC Systems platform. This event is dedicated to showcase our community and have industry and academia present their HPCC Systems use cases, research projects and share their experience on how they leverage the HPCC Systems platform. ECL Workshop
A half-day workshop will kick off the event from 8:30am - 12:30pm on October 15. This new four hour workshop, Rocking Big Music Data using ECL Essentials, is for Community Day participants who want to understand the HPCC Systems platform and learn ECL to build powerful data queries. The workshop will take students through the data extraction, transformation, and delivery cycle using HPCC Systems and ECL. Code examples and hands-on lessons will be included. A public dataset based on the Million Song Dataset, and other auxiliary data will be used. Scroll down for more details on the topics.

Poster Presentations Competition
As part of Community Day, we are excited to hold our
4th annual HPCC Systems Poster Presentations Competition on Tuesday October 15, showcasing the work of our academic community. The posters will remain on display throughout the October 16 Community Day event. Past years have been a big success and we are thrilled to host the competition again this year!

Interactive Expo - NEW!
New this year is an Interactive Expo where attendees can engage with our HPCC Systems experts, try out demos, and seek advice and guidance on new features and platform infrastructure.

Talks and Breakout Sessions
The Community Day event on October 16 will be live streamed via the HPCC Systems YouTube channel. The agenda will tentatively run from 8:30am – 5:00pm ET. We will have a fantastic line-up of speakers featuring industry use cases, community success stories, and technical breakout talks (view descriptions) and are currently finalizing the agenda. October 15, 2019 - Training Workshop: Rocking Big Music Data using ECL Essentials

This class is for Community Day participants who want to understand the HPCC Systems platform and learn ECL to build powerful data queries. Anyone who needs a basic familiarity of the platform and wants to learn best practices with ECL should attend.

This four hour workshop will take the student through the data extraction, transformation and delivery cycle using HPCC Systems and ECL. Code examples and hands-on lessons will be included. A public dataset based on the Million Song Dataset and other auxiliary data will be used.

Course Length: 4 hours, October 15, 8:30AM - 12:30PM, Lunch provided after the course.
