Kartemquin & Community Film Workshop celebrate the latest graduates of the Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID) program.

About this Event

Join Kartemquin Films and the Community Film Workshop of Chicago as we celebrate the latest graduates of our Diverse Voices in Docs (DVID) fellowship on October 12th from 5-8pm at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts.

The graduation will feature exclusive previews of each of the eight fellows' work-in-progress projects.

The 2019 DVID fellows are (clockwise, left to right): Shiraz Ahmed, Aisha Allen, Joua Lee Grande, Milton Guillén, Christine Varisse, Cai Thomas, Shawn Taylor, and Sebastián Pinzón-Silva.

Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Nanfu Wang, the director of 2019 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize-winning One Child Nation and acclaimed 2017 film Hooligan Sparrow, will deliver the keynote speech at the event.

All guests are invited to a reception immediately following the ceremony.
