We will meet in community room 242.

My child is under 12, but wants to come?

We will be using exacto knives, so parental guidance AND supervision will be required for all kids who are interested, but who are not yet 12.

What are the expectations of the group?

Hate speech will not be tolerated. People who make anti-Black, anti-Indigenous (that includes natives of Central & South America!), anti-trans, etc. etc. statements during workshop will be asked to leave for the day. Re-entry may be considered on a case-be-case basis after one-on-one conversation.

The workshop is currently being offered in English, but the instructional videos are in Spanish originally, so if there is enough interest, we may offer a Spanish -language workshop in the future.

In this Fall Season 2-Day workshop, participants will learn the basics of shadow puppetry principles and build a stage for a Secret Garden show. PLEASE NOTE we ask that all participants come to workshops on BOTH days in October AND both days in NOVEMBER to complete the workshop.

We have a waiting list and if you can only make one day, or you can onlymake the October workshops but not November, then you might be better off waiting for the next time we do this workshop series in the Winter Season. Part 2 of this workshop will be help on Saturday/Sunday on November 15 & 16.

Supplies are provided at no cost, so a ticket is required to guarantee your spot and yur suplly kit. We also have non-crafting, view-only seats available if you jsut want to learn without doing the Secret Garden demo project.
