MLK Day of Service - Planting with Nisqually Stream Stewards

By Nisqually Land Trust & Nisqually Stream Stewards

Overview

Join us for our annual MLK Day of Service as we plant trees at one of our Powell Creek protected sites along the Nisqually River.

Join Nisqually Land Trust & Stream Stewards for tree planting in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will be working at our main planting site this season in our Powell Creek Protected Area along the Nisqually River -- help us reach our goal to add 3,000 native plants here this winter!

This is a 3-hour work party beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. We will take some time near the end to walk down to the Nisqually river shoreline and take in the view. The walk is less than 0.5 mile roundtrip on a straight, flat, undeveloped trail.

We will be working rain or shine so dress appropriately for the weather. Tools, work gloves, hot drinks, water, and pre-packaged, light snacks will be provided. Minors are welcome provided they are accompanied by an adult.

Please RSVP for directions. Thank you for helping us restore the Nisqually watershed!
