Welcome to the NEW MUSIC NEW YEAR CONCERT AND OPEN MIC!
Get ready to enjoy an evening filled with amazing NEW Raps, Songs, & Spoken Word at 25 Sweetbriar Rd. Join us on January 24, 2026 at 6:30 PM (Eastern Time) for this musical experience. Let's kick off the new year with some fantastic music and great vibes. The night will open up with a handful of local open mic acts, followed by a few main acts. See you there!

Jayo the Writer.
Jayo is a multi talented singer and music composer for TV and film. He is a V101.9 FM Vocalist (FlyTy/Jacinda Show)
with a New EP called “PDA” and it's out now!
The 2023 Queen of The South co- slam champion Sahn the Poet, who's captivating artistry and quiet storm of a voice can not be denied!
Sahn ‘the Poet’ Dove is a first generation Jamaican born in America, whose sole mission is to provide a safe space for others to gain freedom through expressive testimony.
Dove Dupree. This 2023 Blackberry Peach National Poetry Slam champion is known for blending spoken word, rap, and music to inspire, impact and educate. Every November Dove releases new content every Friday on his youtube channel. Watch this double threat share his lyirical passions.
Al Harris
Al Harris is a Christian artist, songwriter, and ordained minister known for real-life storytelling through music. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he began writing at 13 and later experienced incarceration, where he gave his life to Christ. Since his 2012 release, Al has used music, outreach, and media appearances to share hope and redemption. His message is clear: no matter your past, you are fit for a King.
Jessica Walker
Jessica Walker grew up in a military family where she was blessed to explore and experience different cultures from places like Hawaii all the way to South Korea. Her sound and style leans more towards soulful and country, but she has an appreciation for all sorts of styles like r&b, pop, and jazz. She has been singing in church and writing her own songs since she was about 10. She is passionate about singing because it allows her to worship God, express her creativity, and bring people together.

Hosted by the engaging Victor Rodgers, this concert promises to be a night of raw energy, unique new voices, thoughtful verse, and compelling storytelling. Experience the rich connection between rap and poetry, hear your friends perform their favorite original music and watch as these talented artists share their unique voices and perspectives. Whether you're a long-time fan of vocal talent, hip-hop or poetry, or simply want to see new local talent, this event is crafted for you.
Recording.
All content will be recorded unless specifically requested by artists. Content will be put together in a recap video, edited for promotional use and content and also eventually housed on the Intentional Ink Offical FaceBook, Instagram and Youtube channels.

You may share 1 song, a rap or a poem, no more than 5 mins in length. Please provide your lyrics to your selected work PRIOR to your performance or you will not be able to share. All work must be original and must be 100% clean. No bad language, glorification of violence, sexual innuendos, religious slander will be accepted. This event is based on christian principles though we understand life hits us all differently. This means your song does not have to be a christian song, though it may if you wish.

Intentional Ink is a christian based platform with intentions to flood the world with good content. Good rap, good songs, good poetry. We host live shows throughout the year with plans to implement a variety of online programs such as music and poetry competitions, youtube podcasts, and online workshops.

Sahn the Poet's captivating artistry and quiet storm of a voice can not be denied! Sahn ‘the Poet’ Dove is a first generation Jamaican born in America, whose sole mission is to provide a safe space for others to gain freedom through expressive testimony.
Sahn believes there is strength in vulnerability and aims to re-fragment the negative connotation that the world seems to attach to that very word. Since as early as 2015, Sahn has begun sharing her original works with public audiences.
She has multiple poetry slam honors including the 2022 "Fresh Out The Oven Slam" champion, the 2023 co-Queen Of The South slam champion, and placed seoncd in the region while on a competitive 5 man slam team known as the Southern Fried Poetry Slam. (the nation's largest regional poetry competition.) Sahn has also received superior ratings for her original works on a national level.
She currently co-produces performance shows with her husband Dove Dupree for their Intentional Ink Non-profit and is an original founding member of The Lotus Generation collective based out of Charlotte, NC. In addition to poetry, Sahn enjoys expressing herself throughout various visual art mediums. She creates original mixed media creations on canvas with a focus on acrylic, oil, digital print, and fabric - branded under her Art portfolio, ‘Persahnify’. Sahn is a multi-faceted artist, who believes her gifts and talents derive from Yahweh; she is passionate about promoting truth, unity, peace, healing, strength, and overcoming traumas in hopes that we may all develop into the best versions of ourselves.

Dove Dupree is a multi-talented spoken word and music artist who began writing at the early age of 7, with goals to impact and inspire.He is a teaching artist where he visits k-12 schools helping teachers and students implement arts integration with music and poetry on topics they are learning about.Dove also travels the country, blending spoken word and workshops together on topics such as faith, mental health awareness, and social justice issues.
Since joining the poetry competition world, he has piled up many accolades such as being a Tedx performer,
Greenville, South Carolina’s 4-time - “Say What” Grand Slam Champion,
The 2021 and 2025 King Of The South Poetry Slam Champion.
He is the 2021 Southeastern Regional NC Poetry Slam Champion
The 2023 National Blackberry Peach Poetry Slam Winner
and the 2024 Southern Fried individual Co Champion (which is the country’s largest regional poetry slam competition)

Al Harris
Al Harris is a Christian artist, songwriter, and ordained minister known for authentic, real-life storytelling through music. Born on September 26, 1983, in Greenville, South Carolina, Al began writing lyrics at the age of 13, drawing inspiration from the tough streets he grew up on. What began as expression soon became reality, leading to incarceration. During five years in prison, Al gave his life to Christ, a turning point that reshaped his purpose and mission.
Since his release in 2012, Al has been committed to building God’s Kingdom beyond the walls of the church through music, outreach, and ministry. Recognized as a powerful lyrical presence, he gained attention through battle rapping and earned the Fabulous Flo Winner title in 2014. In 2017, he released his debut project, Fit For A King, created specifically to reach those still in the streets with a message of hope and redemption.
Al has also participated in the Life Love Legacy Tour and appeared on multiple media platforms. He still makes time for interviews with Regina Sunshine Radio station based out of Atlanta, Fox News with Sarah Von Fisher, WGGS TV-Niteline, and 96.3TheBlock just to name a few, using every opportunity to share his testimony.
