上海美国中心推出“探索美国”系列讲座，带您踏上一段探索美国多样风景、文化和传统的精彩旅程。本系列活动通过美国外交官及各州、地方和行业代表的讲述，展现每一个州独特的身份和风貌，让观众深入了解那些构成美国的真实人物、地方，故事与产品。 

The Shanghai American Center presents the Discover America Series, a curated journey through various landscapes, cultures, and traditions of the United States.  This series highlights the unique identity of each U.S. state through the voices of U.S. diplomats and state, local, and industry representatives, offering audiences an authentic glimpse into the people, places, stories, and products that define America.

This December, the Shanghai American Center invites you to journey to the “North Star State,”, Minnesota.  Known for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant arts scene, and spirit of innovation, Minnesota offers a unique window into American life in the Upper Midwest.  We are delighted to welcome three U.S. diplomats originally from Minnesota, who will share personal stories and perspectives about their home state.  From the Twin Cities’ world-class cultural institutions to the state’s outdoor traditions, winter festivals, and friendly Midwestern charm, their insights will give audiences an authentic and multifaceted look at what makes Minnesota special.  Join us for an engaging session and discover the heart and character of Minnesota! 

活动语言为英文，配有中文翻译。 

The event will be conducted in English with Chinese interpretation.  

报名须知

参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。如果您到达时房间已满，您可能将不被允许进入，即使您已经报名。目前，我们只能保证到达的前80名观众入场。

Please be sure to RSVP if you intend to come. Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. If the room is full when you arrive, you might not be granted entry, even if you RSVP'd. We can only seat the first 80 guests at this time.

我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心，证件复印件或照片将不被接受。

Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID to enter the Shanghai American Center. Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.

All personal belongings brought into the American Center will be scanned during security screening. Guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs. Please note there is no place to store luggage or laptops outside the Center. Portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches without camera functionality are permitted.  However, prohibited personal wearable devices include, but are not limited to: 

• Smart glasses of any kind with active or passive camera functionality (e.g., Google Glass, Amazon Echo Frames, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses) 

• Smartwatches with active or passive camera functionality 

• Any other wearable device with built-in cameras 

Additionally, no audio or video recording of the program will be permitted.

Shanghai American Center staff may capture photos or video during the event for future promotion of American Center events. Staff will make efforts during the event to gain verbal permission from individuals whose likeness is captured in footage to be used publicly. Granting permission allows the Shanghai American Center and the U.S. Department of State permission to publish photographs or video in which participants may appear for any lawful purpose, without payment, further approval, or any other consideration in perpetuity.
