Embarking on a university journey is a significant and sometimes daunting step in life - especially when studying abroad. Beyond the physical distance from home, students face the challenge of adapting to a new culture both inside and outside the classroom. Join us for an interactive workshop designed by EducationUSA and RELO office to help you better understand and navigate American culture as you prepare for university life in the United States. Together, we will explore the similarities and differences between American culture and your own, going beyond surface-level topics like food and housing to delve into deeper concepts such as building friendships, interacting with teachers and peers, and understanding the broader purpose of university education. Whether you’re preparing to study in the U.S. or simply interested in learning more about intercultural dynamics, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical tools to help you succeed in your academic and social journey.

讲座嘉宾介绍：

Mitchell R. Bradford Jr. is currently an English Language Fellow based at Hangzhou Normal University. Before working as RELO Fellow, He was EAP Writing Course Conveyor at the University of Waikato - Hangzhou City University, and DProf TESOL at University of St Andrews.

Mitchell R. Bradford Jr. 目前是杭州师范大学的英语语言教学专家。在担任此职位之前，他曾任怀卡托大学-杭州城市学院的EAP写作课程讲师，以及圣安德鲁斯大学的TESOL博士。
