Question 1

Q: How early should we arrive for our session?

Accepted Answer

A: We recommend arriving at least 15–20 minutes before your scheduled kangaroo session. This gives you time to check in and complete your waiver.( You can do the additional activities before your Kangaroo Interaction, or after, but the time of your Kangaroo Interaction is set in stone! )

Q: Can we enjoy the activities before or after our kangaroo session?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes! Your ticket includes access to all the seasonal activities, which are available outside of the studio area. You can participate in pumpkin carving or painting, the craft station, and the candy stop before or after your scheduled kangaroo session.

Question 3

Q: Are costumes required?

Accepted Answer

A: Costumes are not required, but they are highly encouraged! Please remember that masks and toy weapons are not allowed. Guests who come dressed as a kangaroo or a zookeeper will receive a special small gift.

Q: What age groups can attend?

Accepted Answer

A: For safety reasons, children must be at least 5 years old to participate in the kangaroo sessions. No exceptions can be made. (If younger kids want to come and participate in our other activities, we can make arrangements for that to happen, but must be 5 or older to be admitted with the roos)

Q: What is included with my ticket?

Accepted Answer

A: Every ticket includes:
A 30-minute kangaroo encounter with a Polaroid photo keepsake
Access to the craft station
One pumpkin to carve or paint (take home or leave for the animals)
Trick-or-treat candy stop

Question 6

Q: How many people are in each kangaroo session?

Accepted Answer

A: Each kangaroo session is limited to about 15 participants, so every guest gets personal time with the kangaroos and their photo opportunity. (Longer interactions, and smaller group interactions, as well as Private Interactions are available in our regular scheduling)

How many kangaroos will we meet?

Accepted Answer

There will be between 2-4 kangaroos in your interaction. KR staff reserves the right to determine which kangaroos will be best in the schedule, based on the health and happiness of our animals. Longer interactions with specific kangaroos are available in our regular schedule.

Question 8

Q: How is this different from your regular kangaroo encounters?

Accepted Answer

A: Our standard kangaroo encounters last one hour with smaller groups, offering extended interaction with the animals. KangaBoo sessions are 30 minutes, with a slightly larger group size. However, the $40 ticket price reflects this adjustment and includes additional fall-themed activities like craft

Question 9

Q: Do I need to sign a waiver?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes. All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before their kangaroo session begins. Parents or guardians must sign for minors.

Q: Can minors attend without a parent?

Accepted Answer

A: No. All minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Each individual must have their own ticket!

Q: Will we be visiting the ranch?

Accepted Answer

A: No. KangaBoo takes place at our Kangaroo Ranch Studio location in Wheat Ridge, where we hold all of our events. The studio is designed for safe, hands-on animal encounters and seasonal activities.

Q: Will the event still happen if the weather is bad?

Accepted Answer

A: Yes! KangaBoo is a rain-or-shine event. Most activities take place inside our studio, with some set up in our lobby area while you wait for your kangaroo experience. Pumpkin carving may be outside in our parking lot, but if weather is poor, we’ll bring it all inside so the fun continues no matter

Q: Will there be food or drinks available?

Accepted Answer

A: We will likely have a couple of food trucks operating outside of the studio during KangaBoo. However, availability may be limited, so we recommend not counting on food or drinks being part of the event itself.
