Isopod Terrariums: Pet Rolly Pollies!

For those of us who think bugs are pretty cute! These are probably some of the easiest (and tiniest) pets you'll ever have. We have a variety of special colorful roly polies that people like to keep as pets! There are actually all sorts of isopods that people keep: from oreo crumbles to dairy cows. We've picked out some of the cutest and most beginner friendly!

Everything's included and you'll be guided through it as we go, so no worries! Here's the list of what we're working with!

• Clear container with lid (same type as in the picture)
• 5 live terrarium plants
• Magnolia leaves
• Oak leaves
• Seashells
• Crystals
• Cute resin flowers, mushrooms, and animal figurines (some of them glow in the dark!)
• Stickers
• A little bag of isopod food
• Wood with lichen

Take your time decorating your project at the coziest plant shop ever. And say hi to the axolotls and fish, too!

Isopods 101:

• They have babies, so colonies can live for years!
• They're most active at night, but you can see them during the day, too
• They enjoy fruits, veggies, moss, and dead leaves from trees. Peeling a carrot? Give the skin to the isopods!
• They like calcium!
• Some of them can curl up into an adorable ball.
• They don't bite
• There are isopod-keeping Facebook groups and an isopod subreddit!
