About the book: Using a blend of cultural criticism, humor, and personal memoir, Joelle Kidd writes nine essays about her evangelical youth through the lens of early 2000s Christian pop culture, giving readers insight into how evangelicalism’s growing popularity at that time has shaped culture and politics, including today’s far right.
About the author: Joelle Kidd is a writer, award-winning journalist, and editor living in Toronto who attended Christian school. Joelle holds an MFA from the U. of Guelph’s Creative Writing program. Jesusland is her first book.

April Sousa is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She has been in ministry for 10 years, the last 2 years serving in Elk Grove. April's passion and vision for the church (locally, regionally, and globally) is to be accessible, inclusive, authentic and meaningful where all can find true belonging.
Kevin Kitrell Ross is on a mission to inspire people to awaken to their highest potential and be a force for good in the world. This mission has taken him around the world serving people as a thought leader, keynote speaker, panelist, author, radio talk show host, life coach, social entrepreneur and most prominently, as the Senior Minister of Unity of Sacramento International Spiritual Center. “Rev. Kev”, as he is affectionately called, is also deeply committed to co-creating a world of peace, prosperity and unconditional love for all and has risen as a respected interfaith social justice leader. Ross has earned a reputation as a bridge-builder who has worked nationally and internationally to heal the widening global racial and religious gap through education, dialogue and direct encounter.
