Overview

A one-hour tour of the preserved 1896 research laboratory that served Indiana's Central State Hospital.

Visits are by guided tour and appointment only. Visitors can see the teaching amphitheater; laboratories for bacteriology, clinical chemistry, histology, and photography; the library, and reception room as well as the autopsy room and anatomical museum which houses preserved specimens--mostly brains, organized by pathology on a one-hour guided tour. If you do not see the date/time you want, please check back closer to the date as we are always adding more tours!
