Mind Matters 2025 will bring together community leaders, professionals, and advocates for a day of learning, conversation, and connection around mental health and substance use prevention.
The event begins with registration, networking, and a light breakfast, followed by a warm welcome from Nichole Dawsey, Addiction Prevention Coalition.

Through these sessions, attendees will gain insight into pressing challenges, hear powerful stories of resilience, and leave with tools to support their workplaces in addressing mental health and substance use.

PoliciesProgram Fee PolicyThe fee for the event, along with any additional costs, will be clearly communicated to participants at the time of registration. There will be no additional charge for a certificate of completion/participation or verification of participation.Cancellation PolicyRegistrants may submit a refund request to the event organizer and CE authorized individual, Ashley Loftis (ashley@apcbham.org). Requests made at least 2 days prior to the event will be honored. Requests submitted less than 2 days before the event will be reviewed by the event organizer and considered on a case-by-case basis. If the event itself is canceled, refunds will be issued through the original registration source.Grievance PolicyParticipants who are not satisfied with the event hosted by the Addiction Prevention Coalition may submit a complaint to Ashley Loftis, CE authorized individual (ashley@apcbham.org). If the complaint cannot be immediately resolved, it will be forwarded to the Executive Director for further review and resolution.Verification of AttendanceAttendance will be verified through on-site registration and participation in the full event. Participants must check in at the registration table upon arrival and remain engaged for the duration of the program in order to receive credit.Requesting CE Credits and EvaluationsTo receive CE hours, participants must attend the entire program. At the end of the event, participants will receive a CE request form and program evaluation. Both must be completed in order to receive credit. Certificates will be issued within seven days of completing the CE request and evaluation.
