Heartbreak is an ending—it’s also a threshold. Join Pacifica Institute professor of depth psychology and integrative psychotherapist Megan Attore, LMFT, for a transformative exploration of how our deepest losses can also be initiations into greater depth, wisdom, and wholeness.
Depth psychology invites us to see life’s upheavals as symbolic rites of passage, each one carrying us through cycles of life, death, and rebirth. These initiations can be both literal (welcoming a child, grieving a loved one) and figurative: the ending of a relationship, the loss of a job, the collapse of an old identity.
In this course, you’ll learn how to locate yourself and others within these cycles, and how to create meaning and support at the thresholds you cross. You’ll also be guided to revisit past heartbreaks with compassion, empathy, and even a sense of appreciation for the expansion they made possible.
With her blend of clinical expertise, deep scholarship, and sense of humor, Megan will open a conversation about how our most difficult heartbreaks can ultimately become experiences that transform us into our fullest selves.
