How big are the campsites?

Campsites are on both sides of the paved 60' wide, 1-mile long runway.  They are 60' long, giving you about 2,700 square feet of grass alongside the runway.  The west side is flatter and is bound by our 8' chainlink fence, the east side is slightly sloped but leads into a more open area for horses.

Is there water for horses?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  We have 4 water troughs for your horses to drink directly from and 4 water buffaloes for you to fill buckets or containers that are evenly spaced down the runway.  Our Mounted Unit will also bring water to your site throughout the weekend as needed and when able.

Are generators allowed?

Yes.  They may be run in all areas of the campsites.

Question 4

Are there bathrooms and showers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the bathrooms and shower trailers are spaced evenly down the runway to allow campers to use the facilities and shower during the event.  These are luxury shower trailers and we kindly ask that you limit time in them to avoid running out of water.

Question 5

How do we tie up our horses in our campsites?

Accepted Answer

You are responsible for keeping your horses secure in camp.  You can use high lines, corral panels, electric fence, or other means to keep them confined to your assigned camping area.

Question 6

How do we get from our campsite to the Base Camp for dinner and other activities?

Accepted Answer

We have a school bus that will shuttle back and forth along the runway starting about a half hour before the event or dinner begins.  There are four stops along the runway, so be sure you take note of where your campsite is and where you get on and off the bus.

Question 7

What do we do with our muck from the horses?

Accepted Answer

If you're on the west side of the runway, you can simply throw it over the fence.  If you're on the east side of the runway, just make sure you spread it as much as possible to avoid large piles and killing off the grass areas.
