I stop in front of a pale pink mansion with bougainvillea on the fence. There’s a woman inside. She walks down a spiral staircase and across a black and white tiled parlour as if to greet me. We walk in sync from the outside, but scanning the cul-de-sack, her headlights burn me and rev out of sight down the hill.
