If you can't make it to the lake this weekend, come to Norway House instead. every Friday. in June and July, artist Jordan Dye has a selection of lake silhouettes from which you can choose, along with a number of fonts so you can add your family name or a motto. Stencils of lake-themed images, e.g. jumping fish, pine tree, are availablel. Paint on a 11" x 14" weathered board and create a piece of cabin art.

Register with a friend or famly member, and you recieve a free bottle of wine. Enjoy the wine while you are painting or take it with you for a later celebration.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to tell you which lake I want to paint before I arrive?

No. Jordan will have all needed supplies ready. Once you are at Norway House, you can select what you want to put on your board.

How do I get our bottle of wine?

When you arrive, tell Jordan your name on the registration. She will make sure you receive your bottle of wine.

As the window to contemporary Norway, Norway House is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that partners with businesses, organizations, and the community to celebrate a shared heritage. The big, blue Albert Quie Education Center opened its doors at 913 Franklin Ave, Minneapolis in May of 2015, strategically adjacent to Mindekirken, the Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church in the Ventura Village neighborhood. The location boasts a rich and diverse residential history. 

Through our programs—which include the Galleri at Norway House, Minnesota Peace Initiative, and the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota—you can experience contemporary art, design, and music. Visitors can engage in discussion about important topics that share links to Norway and the global community. 

We serve not only as a center for our programming, but also as a convening space and resource for our business and non-profit partners, locally and globally.
