Wil first picked up the guitar around Christmas of 1964, when his third mom, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson, introduced him to the instrument. After making a simple yet expressive statement on a single string, he was instantly hooked.

A self-taught musician with a unique style, Wil’s playing has taken him to places he never imagined — always with the goal of spreading joy and connecting with others through music.
