Safety-Net Day will educate and inspire providers taking care of patients with Diabetes- Zoom event

Target Audience

Physicians, nurse providers, pharmacists, physician assistants, specialists, care managers, medical directors, nurses, dietitians, social worker and anyone taking care of patients with diabetes. All providers taking care of safety-net patients are welcome. In conjunction with the National Kidney Foundation and NYC Health+Hospitals.

Providers with clinic responsibiities: You may use one of your CME days to attend - cancel your clinic or arrange for coverage early as allowed by your supervisor

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Summarize how to screen for and prevent diabetic kidney disease (DKD).
  • Explain how to use lifestyle medicine to improve the care of patients with diabetes, including DKD.
  • Use strategies to prevent cardiovascular and renal complications from diabetes.
