This guided site tour, led by 11th Street Bridge Park's Senior Equitable Development Manager Anna McCorvey, will introduce participants to the future home of the Bridge Park, a nationally recognized project that will transform an old freeway bridge into a civic landmark and public gathering space. Participants will learn about the community-driven planning process, design strategies for adaptive reuse of infrastructure, and the park’s role in advancing health, equity, and resilience in Washington, DC. The tour will highlight some of the unique challenges of spanning the Anacostia River, as well as the social impact initiatives embedded within the project’s framework.ce, heritage, joy, and more. Set within a dynamic outdoor gallery space, connect with creatives, designers, developers, and changemakers transforming the built environment.
