When Are Your Classes?

Our classes are usually held once a month on Saturdays. Right now, all of our classes are located in Northern Virginia – specifically in McLean, VA.

Where Are Your Classes?

Right now, our classes are located in Northern Virginia at the Heartland Design Design Center located at 6712 Old McLean Village Dr., Unit A, McLean, VA 22101.

How Long Do Your Classes Last?

Our classes are an hour and a half and we start right on time so we can squeeze in all the cookies and instruction! We ask that you show up on time, but if you’re running late – no sweat. We’ll get you caught up.

What Do I Wear To Class?

Dress comfortably! Also, if you think it might get a little messy- bring your own apron! Due to COVID-19, if you’d like to bring a mask, feel free to! However, it’s not required.

Can I Sign Up By Myself?

Absolutely! We love having people in our classes who love cookies! Want to go with friends? Awesome – you can reserve up to 6 tickets during checkout (which would buy out the entire class!).

Do You Hold Spots For Students?

We do not. Our classes are first come and first serve since they fill up fairly quickly! Occasionally we'll have a cancelation, so if the class is filled - still sign up for the waitlist!

What If I’ve Never Decorated Cookies Before?

Accepted Answer

Well then, these classes are perfect for you! We are geared towards the first-timers and beginning cookiers or people who have taken a class but haven’t really gotten into it and would like a bit more practice.

How Many People Are In Each Class?

Each class seats 10 – so come alone, bring a friend, or bring 9 friends and have a “private” class – we’d love to have you!

What If The Class I Want Is Sold Out?

Join the Eventbrite waitlist! If someone cancels their tickets, Eventbrite alerts the waitlists for each class. Heads up - our classes sell out about 15 days before the event - so sign up sooner rather than later!

Can I Transfer My Ticket To Someone Else?

Of course! Just let us know by emailing the name and contact information of the person you’d like to transfer your ticket to to hello@sugarcookiesclasses.com.

Can I Sign Up For More Than One Class?

Accepted Answer

We love when we have repeat students! Sign up for as many classes as you’d like! Note – classes held on the same day are the same class, so try signing up for different days to learn new themes!

What If I Need To Cancel Before The Class?

Accepted Answer

Life happens! Let us know 7 days in advance and we can refund your money (less those Eventbrite fees - Eventbrite keeps those).. Need to cancel within 7 days of the class? We can no longer offer credits - but you can transfer your ticket to a friend! Just email us and let us know.

Can I Cancel The Day Of The Class?

If you need to cancel before the class’s start time, we can't offer you a refund - but you can schedule a time within 5 days post-class to pick-up your supplies as a DIY kit *if* you emailed us before class start time. If we don't hear from you before class and you don't show up, we'll donate it.

How Do We Get The List Of Future Classes?

What's The Age Limit?

We ask that ages start from 8+ and that kids are accompanied by an adult (who will also need to purchase a class ticket). We are working on decorating classes geared towards 7 and under though! Stay tuned.

Do You Offer Private Classes If I’m Hosting A Party In My Home?

We currently do *not* offer private in-home classes, but I can refer you to other local bakers who can assist! Email us at hello@sugarcookieclasses.comm and we'll connect you.

Do You Sell Supplies?

Accepted Answer

We have partnered with an awesome company that makes 3D printed cookie cutters for our classes and you can absolutely buy the same set we use in class! Sweet Pink Olive provides all our cookie cutters and has a special discount for Sugar Cookie Class students to save on their next orders.

Do You Sell Cookies?

Yep - inquire on Corrie's custom cookie page called Mixing Bowl Cookie Company (Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps).

Do You Sell Cookie Kits?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes we have class participants who would like to take kits home to people in the family. You can purchase a cookie kit by adding it to your Eventbrite order during checkout! You can practice the class at home or let the kids have a try at it!

Are Your Baked Goods Egg, Dairy, Gluten or Nut Free?

Accepted Answer

Although not all of our items directly contain eggs, dairy, or nuts, we do work with those ingredients on a daily basis, and many of our ingredients are processed in a kitchen that also processes these ingredients.
