Adams Township

For events and things to do in Adams, PA, the local scene is a unique blend of American history and rich agricultural tradition. The experience in downtown Gettysburg, with its Civil War heritage, contrasts with the rolling orchards and small-town charm of the surrounding apple country. This dual identity shapes a calendar of activities that moves with the seasons, from living history encampments to harvest festivals.

• Downtown Gettysburg's historic core offers a walkable setting for an evening out, with live music often found at venues like Garryowen Irish Pub and Dobbin House Tavern.
• Larger productions take the stage at the Majestic Theater, which hosts national tours and films, and at Totem Pole Playhouse, a professional summer theater in Caledonia State Park.
• The region celebrates its agricultural roots with major annual gatherings like the National Apple Harvest Festival in Biglerville and the weekly Adams County Farmers Market in Gettysburg.
