Kenneth Showell was a talented painter and photographer who lived and worked in New York City for most of his career. He left behind hundreds of canvases, thousands of slides, and fourteen portfolios stuffed with lithographs, pastels, watercolors, studies, and sketches.Following his death in 1997, the collection of over 1,300 items moved from Showell’s studio in New York City to his brother’s home in Omaha, Nebraska. In 2018, the work moved once again, this time to Seattle, Washington. Showell’s daughter Hannah Palin, a moving image curator, took charge of collection management and established Kenneth Showell Artworks, LLC to handle donations, sales, licensing, and merchandise
