CLC is a dynamic and innovative agency providing services to individuals, families and neighborhoods across Central Ohio. Our mission is to increase employability, enable future education, encourage civic involvement and promote family stability and support.For the last 50 years, CLC has been a steady and effective presence in our community using interdisciplinary approaches to improve the capacity of underserved, at-risk populations.Through leveraged resources and partnerships, CLC Works to achieve its mission everyday. In 2018:We maximized our outreach through partnerships by maintaining 14 separate neighborhood sites that provided academic support and activities to residents of Franklin County.We operated a full-time tutoring center at our Downtown location, providing over 800 adults (citizens and immigrants) with increased learning opportunities.We engaged 153 families through the FIT, Family Literacy Program, focusing on early childhood education and family engagement.Weprovided119 at-risk youth withworkexperience, strengthening job skills, opening new career opportunities, and boosting family income.
