We regret to inform you that due to family circumstances, Wayne Thiebaud will not be able to join us for the talk scheduled for May 4 at the Martha Knoebel Theatre. Mr. Thiebaud sends his regrets and is looking forward to rescheduling the talk sometime in the future.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Wayne Thiebaud: Prints in Process, the University Art Museum is pleased to present Wayne Thiebaud in Conversation with Connie Glenn and Gene Cooper, at the Martha Knoebel Dance Theater. Thiebaud, who was raised in Long Beach, has had a decades-long relationship to CSULB through his friendships with Glenn, Director Emeritus of the University Art Museum/Professor Emeritus, and Cooper, Professor Emeritus in Art History, including the 1972 exhibition Wayne Thiebaud, Survey of Paintings 1950-72. Both Glenn and Cooper have written extensively on Thiebaud’s work and bring a unique and personal perspective to the discussion that will address Thiebaud’s career-long exploration of printmaking.  

The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and RSVP is requested. 

Paid permit parking is available in Lot 13 or Parking Structure 1, adjacent to the Walter Pyramid. Martha Knoebel Dance Theater is in the Dance Center (DC), just beyond the Pyramid, near Atherton. Map can be found at daf.csulb.edu/maps/parking.
