About this event

The Americans with Disabilities Act celebrated its 30th anniversary on July 26, 2020. Learn about the road to the ADA – which includes key leaders such as Ed Roberts and Judy Heumann – Section 504 and the significance of what the ADA means today. Participants will be encouraged to take action for disability rights and empowered to advocate in their own communities. While progress has been made over the last 30 years, there is still work to be done to achieve true disability inclusion.

Sponsored by Multicultural Student Services in partnership with the Office of Disability Resource Center to commemorate Disability Awareness Month
