Is there a cost for the training?

Not at all! Thanks to a grant from the Florida Blue Foundation, we can offer these training sessions for FREE to anyone who is 18 years or older.

Is this training exclusively for mental health professionals or individuals who work with kids?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! This training is designed to equip family members, caregivers, and other invested community members who interact with young people with the knowledge and skills to recognize the warning signs and risk factors of suicide in youth.

Someone close to me recently died by suicide, should I take this course?

Accepted Answer

If you have recently suffered a loss due to suicide, we recommend that you consider waiting before taking this course. The content may be sensitive and emotionally challenging. Please take the necessary time and we look forward to having you join us when you can fully participate.

What if I can’t attend the entire training?

Accepted Answer

Participants are required to attend the entire training course to receive the certification. However, we have a variety of dates and times available to accommodate your schedule.

Can you offer private training for my group?

Do I need to turn on my camera during the training?

We strongly encourage having your camera on throughout the training, if possible. Our training courses are designed to be interactive and experiential, not just lecture-style. Having your camera on helps create a more engaging and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
