ENACT Day is a day of learning and advocacy in the state capital, where community members and advocates from across the state come together to:

LEARN about how to advocate for legislation that supports healthy eating and physical activity

NETWORK with community leaders and advocates

MEET with your representatives and learn about messaging with members of the media

ENACT Day is a great opportunity for community members, grassroots organizers, and advocates to develop their policy advocacy skills. Here is what you can expect if you attend ENACT Day:

• Presentations on bills related to healthy food and safe physical activity that are currently being voted on in the state legislature

• Trainings from communications and advocacy experts about how to explain your success stories, policy positions or provide non-partisan education to legislators and the media

• An appointment to speak with your legislators or their staff about the ideas and issues that are important to you

• Time to network with other community members, grassroots organizers and advocates concerned with access to healthy food, opportunities for physical activity and health equity in California

• Spanish interpretation, breakfast and lunch will be provided!

All you need to bring is your passion, and an optional donation to support the costs associated with the day or sponsor youth who otherwise would be unable to attend!
