This is basically a moderate-sized collection of skeletons, dried body parts, dried bodies, skins, a few preserved tumors and whatnot, antiquated medical instruments, and wax models. Some of it was a bit disturbing - like the dried bodies of dead infants, and the preserved fetuses with various congenital defects. Other stuff was interesting, like the skeleton of a young man with acromegaly alongside that of a young woman with dwarfism, and the skeleton of a woman in the 1800s who wore corsets her whole life. Of note: there was a family with small children about 6-10 yrs old, and two of the kids looked genuinely unnerved, anxious, and distraught. I'm not sure they were emotionally prepared for what they saw. (I'm not sure I was either!)

Love this place (Mutter Museum). It's where the third Alien movies based one of their scenes. Lots of medical oddities. Appropriate for slightly older kids unless you are ready to do some hardcore explaining.
