The people in the front desk have been some of the kindest and most helpful I've seen in the area. The parking garage could use more lighting the second floor is quite dark and kinda creepy to walk in even in the daytime. The room was pretty good. Looks very clean as an overview but if you check closely you can see the faults. There was a total of 8 towels in the bathroom, 4 of those were stained with God knows what. Both washrags a large towel and one medium size one. The table had a glass top that was filthy and grimy. Also unattached to the table itself, my fiance almost knocked it off by accident. Apart from that it wasn't too bad, we did get a good deal on the room. The actual location of the hotel is great.
Visited a friend who was staying here. Rooms seemed comfortable, but were showing their age a little bit. Had some issues with the wifi, but was able to find a spot where it worked well. Gift shop was cute and convenient. Starbucks-slash-bar was a little bit confusing and understaffed, but there was a lot of seating and people who were there seemed to be having a good time.
I stayed at the Sheraton downtown for a conference. The lobby and hotel bar are nice, but the rest of the hotel feels a bit aged, and shows its wrinkles once you head towards the room. The elevator and hallway floors were dirty and stained. The room itself was fine, but there are only a few lamps and it felt kind of dim. The bathroom door doesn't latch, which is awkward. After showering using the provided soap I felt weirdly sticky, not sure if due to soap or water. The bottom bed sheets came undone multiple times while sleeping, which ended up with me sleeping o. A bunched up pile of fabric. Overall, not a great experience, but I didn't spend much time in the room.
I would never stay at this Sheraton again and possibly any other Sheraton. It's was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We were told there were no king sized beds available when we booked months in advance. We also asked again the day we checked in, still we were told none were available. Then another guest in out party received a king sized bed without any request and with a last minute booking. So my fiancee and I spent the weekend in a full bed, not even a queen. Also, they hotel completely forgot our room service breakfast the first morning, we waited two hours and had to call three different times to find out where it was. They then said they would not charge us for the inconvenience, but they did, and they also charged us $50 every other day we stayed because they "assumed" we would order breakfast everyday after that (which we did not). FYI they also automatically add a 30% fee to your daily room rate for incidentals, so watch out if you are on a tight budget.
