The teachers are wonderful and the space feels so 'comforting' and mellow. I have special issues with my spine and urge anyone with spine and back problems to try YIN YOGA which has saved my back from pain and immobility. Working through the pain I have been able to move and perform in ways that were so limited before. It has been my 'lifesaver'.
I've been a regular at Reflections Yoga from the moment it opened the doors (I live in the neighborhood). The teachers are all terrific, and know how to assess the various levels of the people in any class and adjust the program for that class and the individuals in it accordingly. The staff is friendly and accommodating; there are special offers every month that make it affordable, and the monthly plan is well worth it if you like to practice in a studio. If you are looking for a yoga studio that is really a yoga studio where you can learn and develop, this is the place.
I have grown up in NYC my whole life. And being the city that it is, Reflections Yoga not only offers superb classes but a sanctuary amidst bustling midtown. The space is goregous. The community here is supportive, and open minded. I feel thankful to have stumbled upon this Studio, it is a 5,000 sq ft Safe Haven. Clean, light, decorated minimally with flowers, artwork, and comfortable furniture. In fact it looks like that dream loft in SoHo l can't afford. Classes are all day everyday, with a multitude of level options--offering "Quickie's" which are my 1-hour favorites. I recommend this place to anyone & everyone. One of the most brilliant things about this place is that it accomodates all levels, all backgrounds, all ages, all sizes, all people. Please come. Bring a friend. Bring four friends. You will not be disappointed.
They offer so many packages and specials so you can get your vinyasa on with limited commitment. $250 for 2 months of unlimited yoga- it's almost unheard of in manhattan. It's hard to find great instructors, clean studio and showers and decent prices in the city but Reflections has it- friendly people, tons of workshops and special classes to boot. And it's near the train. Check out Vidya's mixer class on Saturdays.
