Very unhappy with this school. You could talk to 2 different advisers and they will tell you 2 different things. Not to mention, the student workers they have there tell you wrong information as well. The communication is very poor there. I had 1 adviser tell me I need a 80 reading score to take reading-1. Come to find out that wasn't true. I received second to highest score in English. So I tried to register for English -1 in orientation and the computer would't let me. The adviser told me it was because of my reading score. Come to find out that wasn't true. It was just a computer error. Because people told me the wrong information I was late registering for English and the class was full. So I was told I had to take reading development even though I've took college history at another college that I pasted with a B. So I was late registering for reading development, and I dropped the class a week later. Now I'm stuck paying 700 for a class I didn't need. I only went to 2 classes. Really 700 hundred dollars for just going to class twice. If you can go to a different school please do. Only go to Owens if it's your last option. This school is a joke and a rip off.

Advisors would never respond back to my emails, financial office kept trying to charge me a fee that I paid for. All around a terrible experience, will never ever attend again.

I like Owens because its a small college and Im able to get all the help I need with passing my courses. It may not be the biggest school but since its worth a shot towards my future... Its more than enough. They have a variety of programs and so far from my experience I've had some really nice instructors.

Attended Owens and completed an Associates degree in 2001. Returned to a local area 4 year college to complete a Bachelor of Science. Due to the high cost and mediocre experience. I chose to take as many transfer classes as possible at Owens. A full time semester was a fraction of a 4 year college semester. Pretty rigorous course material and most importantly, courses are well structured, you could actually work ahead following the syllabus. Students and staff are pleasant. Have my 4 year degree, and returning to Owens for certificate programs to fill in the gaps from said 4 year college curriculum.
