My mom had a brain tumor removed and spent a night in ICU...she complained that the workers were slamming doors and jamming the music all night long, and it kept her awake. How disgustingly unprofessional is that, and non-compassionate, and a total lack of respect for the patients who are in critical care. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You are in this profession to take care of people and to make them feel at ease, not to add additional stress to the load they already have. I demand that management and the hospital administration look into this, and hold the workers who did this responsible for their actions. I'm totally discouraged and disgusted that my mother told me this... she has enough going on, fighting cancer, and fighting to live, and THIS is how you act in the ICU? SHAME ON YOU ALL.
Everyone at The Children's Hospital is extremely committed. I have had the honor of meeting several people. You can feel their passion and love, for every person that walks through the door. This gives hope. I think that is very special. And it's what our local children's hospital is all about. HOPE.
Hematology department is pretty good. But I definitely recommend u find a different hospital if u can. Not very clean, staff not that friendly unless they are servicing u in particular. Some staff pretty good. Doctors are incompetent, and most Intel is outsourced from Riley & surrounding clinics because they just don't know.
