Look at its beautiful location and then go and visit inside. Very very unprofessional staff. The bathrooms smell like garbage store. If Martin was alive would have slapped the management. I wonder why no one pays attention to this library and the health issues. There are a number of events and meet ups such as poetry workahop on Thursday nights and english classes, but again the staff are kind of giving you the feeling that you owe them. There are rumors that the library will be closed for rehabilitation and reconstruction, I hope it is true and they rehabilitate the management too.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library needs a major make over to include a better Computer / Printing center.......there should be several printers assigned to the PC and Apple computers....Not just one each.....As a matter of fact.....The MLK Jr. Memorial Library should create two seperate computer labs / rooms....One for the PC and One for the Apple computers. It is hard to do any work in the MLK library when you don't have enough equipment.....especially when the ONLY PRINTER THAT IS AVAILABLE IS BROKE DOWN....
Excellent collections across the board! I looked high and low for a book that I only needed to reference, and rather than having to buy, this library was the only one to have it. This was my lifesaver and it wasn't the first time, just the most recent. To the staff, thanks for stocking so much variety and keeping it considerably well organized with such high people traffic.
