They have what you want in the way of camera gear...or they will get it for you if not directly in stock. Staff is very knowledgeable and good at offering help while not being intrusive about it when you just want to look around. Great selection of cameras and tons of accessories.

A rarity in this day and age, Hunt's Photo is a regional chain that is both well stocked and has a knowledgeable staff of consultants. The flagship store in Melrose contains anything you could possibly want in photo and optical equipment. Plus, the staff at all the stores I've visited have been more than willing to help me out with technical questions and concerns. I almost never make photographic purchases online any longer, because of the services offered at Hunts Photo.

This is the best place around to get camera and video equipment. I shop here all the time because they offer expert technical advice and service to their customers that is second to none. These guys are AWESOME! ( ^_^. )

There just are v many real camera stores left in the country but Hunt's is still going strong for good reasons. Sales staff are knowledgeable & helpful, no matter if you're a snapshooter or a seasoned professional. Yes, you can prob shave a few % off their prices through the Amazon but, unlike those guys, Hunt's has customer service worthy of the name & people who actually know what the words mean & a whole lot more. Quality of in-store printing is outstanding. When I need large-format prints for clients, Hunt's gives me the quality I'm looking for with good turn-around times & reasonable prices. And, unlike the online printers you might be familiar with, at Hunt's there's a real human being who knows a lot about printing photographs who can help you work through the decision tree of mounting styles, paper-types, & surface options. They also have a couple of Fuji kiosk printers I just tried for the 1st time to make a bunch of 4x6 & 5x7s in just minutes. More than satisfied. I've also just ordered my 1st three aluminum prints, which are essentially self-mounting first-surface presentation prints. They require a several-week turn time but the samples I saw in the store were visually delicious and well-worth the wait. They have 5 locations in MA & 1 each in NH, ME, & RI.

I’ve been going to Hunt’s for over 40 years. Back then they were also a drug store. :) The folks working there now are all very knowledgeable and helpful. This is NOT Best Buy, or Amazon. They have all kinds of education programs and photo walks. There is a very cool gallery in the middle of the store where the photos from the walks or local artist display absolutely great stuff. I cruise through there first thing every time I go. Anytime I have the slightest issue they correct it instantly. Last week my new Nikon D850 arrived. Greg from Hunts called that evening to see how I liked it and if he could answer any questions. That is crazy good service. Hunts cares like nobody else. My doctor does call me. :)
