They fail miserably unless you are on top of every aspect of your event and then follow through to make sure they do their job. Tyler was absolutely worthless. He was a coordinator on board for my event. He sat in the corner playing on his phone. When asked for help or notified about something wrong, he would disappear and come back later with nothing done.
I dropped my daughter there for an even cruise. I needed 15 minutes to get her on the boat and they charged me $35 for parking, even though the web sites says its $14. I asked if I could leave my car somewhere for 10 min while I escort her to to cruise and was told no. Keep away if you want happy guests.
My girlfriend and I went on a night-time dinner cruise in the bay in May and found the experience to be excellent. Although I got a bit sea sick, the crew on board were very kind and did what they could to make my experience enjoyable. The route that the yacht took also allowed us to see great sights and take awesome pictures of the sunset on the water and the city - both before and after the sun went down. And lastly, the food was delicious. A small menu that allowed you to build a three course meal paced perfectly although the appetizers were a bit lacking. Overall a great experience and we definitely recommend.
While I give them credit for the concept of bringing smooth jazz to Nyc and on the water to boot, their execution is poor. The acoustics are abysmal. If you like to stand in lines under the elements, fight for seating on the boat, sweat in marginally comfortable seating, eat low quality food and pay $4 for tepid bottled water, then this is for you. If you really want to hear good jazz in its element, go to the Blue Note or the Vanguard.
