So much history of the county to see and so little time

I attended the lecture about the Sharples Separator at Greystone last night. What a wonderful evening! The speakers were very knowledgeable and the venue was perfect! I look forward to next Tuesday evening's lecture.

Hats off to the genealogy source that the CCHS provides in the community. The first Coatesville/Downingtown Swisher/Troupe to arrive in Chester County was in 1875 coming from Berks Co for work in the steel mills. I have found numerous documents over the years following the paths of the descendants. The Swisher family first arrived at the Port of Philadelphia in 1732 sailing from Switzerland. Thank you. This was the best exhibit of clothing over the years! Was impressed how it was set up as the years progressed. Exceptionally well done!
