My room was big, view of capitol, HBO, everything works, big bed, friendly staff, courtesy bus to capitol, free gym, has a pool which looks nice though not open till next week, is only a 25 min walk to the museums, bars and restaurants 3 blocks away, bike share point 2 blocks away, nice children's playground opposite good for kids 3 to 9. But carpet in hall could be nicer, no tea in room although has coffee, they have a $14 buffet breakfast which is basic.

The Capitol Skyline Hotel was a great experience from the start. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Rooms were spacious, beds, pillows, and sheets were all very comfortable and bathrooms were clean and we'll kept.

Worst experience ever and I've seen bad service. The hotel was dump and someone was arrested outside our window. Not sure if in a safe location. As a mom this isn't what I wanted my kids to see. I booked this hotel based on the pool and called ahead to see if it was open and they said it was. THEY LIED. The pool was closed and we were kicked off the pool deck regardless of being told the pool was open noon-9. Don't stay here you will regret it.

Our stay was good, the room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was also convenient for getting on the metro. The only thing that was less than ideal was the $40 parking fee and the super low parking garage roof. We had a small rack on the roof and couldn't get in. There are pipes lower than the posted 6 foot clearance.

Our rooms were not ready by check-in time, which was 3pm, and we didn't get one of our rooms until 11pm because they weren't ready. The rooms are nice, but not having a room for the 8 hours we should have was ridiculous. The location is good, since its in the city and it's not hard to drive to places.
