Wow. I noticed a lot of 1 star reviews. In reviewing them, they mention the service. I have to say I'm in a similar situation. The reason for a 2 star is the few wines I did try seemed good but I had a major problem with the service. Here's what happened, I asked for samples and I was very excited to try many different wines. I was told I was not allowed to do that and that only people who were serious about buying the bottles were allowed to get samples. So it seems to me that the wine cannot sell itself and the way to sell it is to put you in a guilt trip in saying you have to be serious in buying it before you sample it. To me, if someone took pride in their work and had a good product then the wine would sell itself. Meaning they would care less if you sampled it because when you did, you would love it so much that you would buy a bottle. That was not my experience and I felt I was being forced into buying a bottle if they gave me a sample. Instead I got a couple of glasses and walked out. Maybe I looked like a bum and they thought I couldn't afford to buy a bottle. Maybe if a winery opens nearby I will buy a few cases I bought from them and glare as I walk by saying "You people work on commission right? Big mistake. Big. Huge".
We have enjoyed their wine when they were in the short north and now in the olde towne east area. We love his place! Great owner with wonderful knowledge on the wine and always available to offer a suggestion for you. Now able to offer micro brews on tap AND FOOD! Can not beat that. The perfect place to come have an afternoon snack with some great wine or a date night with the spouse! This is our go to place for great wine and the perfect evening out. A must go on your list of hot spots in Columbus!
