Came here during Mardi Gras. The lighting was great by having blues, greens, purples and yellows to give you that mardi gras vibe. The service staff were friendly, and were pretty quick to get my drinks and order. The drinks did their intended job. For appetizers I ordered the deep fried mac n cheese, and a few other items i can't recall. I really liked the music that was played. All types of jazz from latin jazz, New Orleans, to early Ska blues.
This place is for suckers. I just paid $45 to watch some privileged high school kid find himself on stage. The lead singer is muddy, formulaic, and controlling. Before he drags the audience through his stylistic whims, he needs to master one style so it succeeds in the goal of entertainment. Tempo comes from the drummer else you get what I saw tonight. A drummer tripping over himself to follow the irregular and unintentional push-pull of a self preoccupied lead. The house itself is a scam. The drinks are watery and 2x priced. The food is cooked from frozen and undersized. 3-mac and cheese sticks are $12. The dish is over half flour and they still didn't give decent portions. It couldn't have been more than 30 cents in food.
