I am wtiting as I just entered this place at first glance. I liked the atmosphere. Latin music with some pop and tropical music. Everyone dressed up. Quite classy. I asked about the reserved area and was told that I could grab it in the interim. Of course I was ready to spend $200+ if needed. I just wanted to have fun as I just had moved I. To Houston. Last remark. As I was Typing gorgeous apparently single girls were walking in. Hope to have fun tonight.....

Always a festive place to go with plenty of beautiful people to be discovered. Considered upper end, expect to meet a snob or 2. Thursday is Latin night, come ready to dance.

Oldest Latin Club still open on Thursdays. Good atmosphere filled with locals. Also servers tacos and good mixed drinks

I have been going to Belv, as me and my friends like to call it, for a long time. We live very close so every time we go, we used to spend hundreds of dollars buying drinks, literally hundreds of dollars. Most of the time, it's like 7-10 of us, depending on the weekend. Now, I don't know what the heck happened to them, may be a new management, first they started charging for entrance. There is nothing special about Belv that justifies charging for entrance. You go to midtown or Washington street, you find really good clubs, and you don't have to pay a dime to get in. Just walk in, buy your drink and keep buying your drink. It's not even about the 5 or 10 or 20 they charge; I just can't stand the idea of having to pay to get in where I get to see nothing special. If you goto Austin, the New York of the south, I believe on 6th street, you don't pay to get into bars and clubs, at least when I have went a few times. Why the heck do I have to pay to get into Belvedere? I really don't get the business idea behind charging people, especially when the people have other better options. It makes no sense. It's only a dying and desperate business that does this out of desperation. I feel bad for people who have to go here; they must not know they have way better options, and they can get in without encountering some uneducated cashier and bouncer who treats them badly.
